What wonderful choices the political system in America is giving us for president:
- Obama: His huge socialist spending programs are outlined here. They are Rooseveltian in scale, with huge taxpayer-financed handouts and subsidies. It’s the New Deal 2.0. For Obama, change means more government. In other words, change = no change, only more of the same.
- McCain: More war, more death and a bigger empire. And, oops, forget about torture. Now it’s OK. McCain is just a continuation of Bush.
- Clinton: Add up Obama and McCain. Throw in a dash more narcissism. You get more socialism, more empire and, for no exta cost, a rerun of the 90′s Clinton psychodrama in the White House.
Yeesh! What could possibly be better?

I voted for Ron Paul, but am now forced to change my registration to Libertarian and vote for their nominee.
Keep up the great work Mark! My favorite blog, of the dozens I subscribe to.

You’ve pretty much summed up the choices for the nation in November. I’ll be writing-in Ron Paul, of course.
Choices are:
1. A socialist
2. A crony capitalist
3. An arrogant, narcistic, femnazi socialist
Not much there to be happy about.

Hey, Don’t give up on Paul just yet. I will be carrying the message of Liberty to the Thurston County Convention and then hopefully onto the State Convention. Will I make it to the National Convention? That I do not know, but I have indicated my desire to do so.

Also if it comes down to it. If I have to, I’d rather have Hillary (The Lizard Queen)… the inevitable downward spiral into Totalitarianism will hopefully spark real change. Obama would do the same but make everyone “feel good” about it.

Difranco,
I’m actually hoping that Hillary will soon be finished in her bid for the nomination. Let her stay the senator from New York until she dies. At least there she can’t do so much damage to liberty and freedom.
I can live with Obama. He’ll only be around for one term, I’d say. If Hillary got the nomination, she could work the deals to keep her around for another term.
